چکیده

The microstrip line is widely used as the planar transmission line in microwave integrated circuits and high speed interconnecting buses. In this paper, we use COMSOL multiphysics to study multiconductor microstrip systems on microwave integrated circuits. We specifically illustrate the modeling of open four and five conductors systems. We successfully demonstrated the calculation of the capacitance matrices for the models and their quasi-static spectral of the potential distribution on microwave integrated circuits. Indeed, excellent agreement with the computational results of the models from the Galerkin method and parallel lines propagating TEM waves method is demonstrated. Also, we determine the potential distribution plots of the developed microwave integrated circuits.

Electromagnetic interference in electronic circuits and systems

This thesis examines the effects of electromagnetic interference (EMI) and coupling in circuits and systems. The coupling phenomenon is investigated in nonuniform transmission lines and adjacent via structures in microelectronic circuits. Radiation from metallic enclosures with apertures and lined with resistive materials is analyzed. Electromagnetic interference on a larger scale is studied in...

Analysis of Planar Microstrip Circuits Using Three-Dimensional Transmission Line Matrix Method

The frequency-dependent characteristics of microstrip planar circuits have been previously analyzed using several full-wave approaches. All those methods directly give characteristic of the circuits frequency by frequency. Computation time becomes important if these planar circuits have to be studied over a very large bandwidth. The transmission line matrix (TLM) method presented in this paper ...

Multiconductor Transmission-Line Characterization: Representations, Approximations, and Accuracy - Microwave Theory and Techniques, IEEE Transactions on

This paper investigates a measurement method that characterizes lossy printed multiconductor transmission lines, its accuracy, the choice of measurement representations, and some simple approximations. We illustrate the method with measurements of a pair of lossy coupled asymmetric microstrip lines.

Electromagnetic Model for Microwave Components of Integrated Circuits

This paper presents an accurate and robust time-domain electromagnetic model for microwave components of integrated circuits. The time-domain model has been validated on different structures such as metallic waveguides, planer lines and the transition of waveguide-microstrip line under harmonic oscillation excitation. The results obtained from simulation were compared to the experimental test r...

Knowledge-based Support Vector Synthesis of the Microstrip Lines

In this paper, we proposed an efficient knowledge-based Support Vector Regression Machine (SVRM) method and applied it to the synthesis of the transmission lines for the microwave integrated circuits, with the highest possible accuracy using the fewest accurate data. The technique has integrated advanced concepts of SVM and knowledge-based modeling into a powerful and systematic framework. Thus...
